Gold Mirror Lotus Latkan (Pack of 6)

Highlights

• A MIRROR-GOLD LOTUS, NOT A PRINTED ONEThe lotus is cut from board and faced in mirror-bright gold, with the petal outlines standing proud of a deep coloured inlay. It throws light back at you the way foil does, which a flat printed hanging never manages.
• PEARL STRING ABOVE, BEADED TASSEL BELOWIt hangs from a run of white pearl beads and finishes in a tassel of gold and pearl strands ending in three small pom-poms, so each piece is about 30 cm of movement rather than a single static shape.
• THE RIGHT SYMBOL FOR THE PLACE IT HANGSLakshmi sits on a lotus. That makes it the obvious thing to hang at the main door for Diwali and around the mandir the rest of the year, and it is why the lotus is the shape you see on most doorways at Diwali.
• SIX PIECES COVERS A DOORWAY AND A MANDIRTwo on each side of the main door, two on the mandir, two spare for a window grill or the back of a chair at a function. Enough to make a room look decorated rather than dotted.
• REUSABLE, AND IT STORES FLATBoard, beads and thread. No water, nothing to wilt. It lies flat in a drawer between festivals and comes out looking the same.
