Highlights
- HANGS STRAIGHT OUT OF THE BOXComes ready to hang with the cord attached, so the mandir or the doorway is done in a minute rather than becoming a morning project.
- MIRROR AND BEAD WORK BY HANDSmall mirrors and beads worked onto the pot by hand, which is what catches the diya light in the evening and makes it read across a room.
- JANMASHTAMI AND THEN THE REST OF THE YEARHung for Janmashtami and the dahi handi, then kept up in the mandir, on a balcony or over a doorway because it does not read as seasonal.
- SIZED FOR A HOME, NOT A HALLBig enough to be the thing people look at when they walk in, small enough to hang in an actual flat without taking over the room.
- HAND CHECKED AND HAND PACKEDInspected before packing. Handmade hanging matki with mirror and bead detail and an attached cord. Colours may vary slightly between pieces.
About this piece
A small hanging Krishna matki, worked by hand with mirrors and beads that catch the diya light in the evening, with the hanging cord already attached.
It goes up for Janmashtami and the dahi handi in a minute, and usually stays up in the mandir, on a balcony or over a doorway, because it does not read as seasonal. Sized for a home rather than a hall. Colors vary slightly from piece to piece.
