About this piece
A lotus pooja aasan in bright yellow and gold, 24.5 cm across when open, for seating an idol, a kalash, a shaligram or a diya thali in a home mandir.
Eight padded satin petals rise around a printed Om, swastik and kalash center, so the idol sits on a raised seat rather than a flat cloth. Each petal is shaped in our workshop and the gold beaded border is stitched by hand, so no two open exactly alike. Yellow is the everyday and haldi color, cheerful on a daily mandir.
