Highlights
- TWELVE ROSE HEADS, NO STEMSTwelve deep red velvet rose heads, each about 5 cm across, ready to place straight from the packet. The photographs show exactly what is in it, so there is no guessing over the count.
- VELVET THAT READS AS REALAbout ten layered petals with softly pointed tips open around a tight spiral centre, in a deep crimson velvet with a soft sheen and slightly darker edges. A short green fabric calyx sits underneath each head.
- SIZEEach head is about 5 cm (2 inch) across and about 3 cm deep, the right scale for a pooja thali, a diya plate, a gift box lid or a jhula, and small enough to glue or tie into craft work.
- WHERE THEY GOAround a diya on a pooja thali, on a mandir step, a Ganpati or Janmashtami jhula, gift boxes and wedding hampers, trousseau trays, table centrepieces, rangoli borders, and DIY torans, wreaths, bouquets and hair accessories.
- PLAINLY STATEDThese are velvet fabric flowers, not fresh ones, so nothing wilts and nothing needs water. Velvet should stay dry, so they are not for floating in an urli or a water bowl. Dust with a soft dry brush and store in a box.
About this piece
Twelve deep red velvet rose heads, about 5 cm across and 3 cm deep, with no stems, so each one sits face up exactly where you place it.
Ring a diya on a pooja thali, line the posts of a Janmashtami jhula, top a gift box or finish a wedding hamper, or glue them into a toran, a wreath or hair work. The velvet has a soft sheen that reads as real flowers across a room. Nothing wilts and nothing needs water; velvet must stay dry, so these are for placing, never for floating.
